many great pics this weekend....here are a few of the best:On Friday, after Kent put the finishing touches on his last paper/take-home exam, 
we all walked down to the exams schools to hand it in (see pic). Then the celebrations began...showing the Millers some of our favorite pubs, peeking in some of the colleges, and checking out all of the great architecture of of Oxford. We did happen to stop at a few pubs along the way (hey, it's part of the culture!) and Tab was such a trooper. She's almost 6 months pregnant and kept up with us on all the walking and went water-for-beer with us. :-) For dinner, we had to go for fish and chips at the Eagle & Child. It's the best place to go for 6-8 choices of fish, chips (aka fries) and mushy peas. :-)
Saturday, the plan was to do a "pub walk." We took a walk from our house north along the Thames Path, from
pub to pub. We finally set out on our walk, and about 5 minutes in it started hailing! It was pretty warm outside, so it was so strange! We were forced to duck in to a pub that wasn't on our list, the Waterman's Arms (the boys weren't disappointed) to wait out the rain. After having a Guinness and watching some rugby on TV, we were on our way. We strolled up the Thames Path, past the open fields where there were plenty of other "British walkers" and horses roaming. Due to the weather, we even saw a whole rainbow! After about 2 miles, we came to The Perch. It's an upscale pub/restaurant, but we stayed in the bar area and warmed up by the fire with pints and a bowl of chips (tea for Tab).

On a mile or two more, and we came to The Trout, just in time to beat another light rain shower. We enjoyed a fabulous, relaxing dinner together and grabbed a taxi back in to town.
Sunday morning, we headed in to London for The Boat Race and Ball! The Millers were spending the next week touring London, so we joined them for a fun afternoon watching the great Oxford/Cambridge rowing rivalry. We made our way through the packed banks of the Thames in London (see this pic!) to the park where the rest of the MBA crew was staked out (English tailgating) to watch the 
boats go by. The MBAs 
were very proud to watch the race, as 4 of the 8 guys rowing for the Oxford boat are in the MBA program! The race was really exciting, the little bit of it that we could see. Almost 2 miles long, a little less than 20 minutes. When the boats passed our spot, about 2/3 of the way in to the race, Cambridge was slightly ahead. Just after they made the turn, Oxford pulled ahead and never looked back and won by 3 boat lengths! It was really an exciting atmpshere to be a part of. all got dressed up and headed over to the Hurlingham Club, which is sort of like a country club in the middle of London (instead of golf/tennis they play croquet and cricket). This club was super nice! After a nice cocktail hour, the Oxford rowers arrived to cheers and we moved in to dinner. The food was outstanding and we had a fun evening at the "MBA 1" table with a few other of our friends from the MBA program.
