A few fun weekends were dedicated to wedding-related travel...here's a recap...
I took my duties as Matron of Honor very seriously with two June weekends in Jen's honor! It was nice to have a few long weekends to join in the wedding planning fun and help Jen with her to-do list for the Aug. 9 wedding. :)First, a bachelorette weekend with a fun group of Jen's friends at Carolina Beach. Relaxing at the beach house, catching some rays at the beach, and a fun night out were a great way to help Jen celebrate her upcoming wedding. Jen and Samantha even graced us with their karaoke rendition of Country Roads. :-)
For the next 'wedding event' I
traveled to Baltimore for a shower and bachelorette party for my friend Sarah, who's getting married Oct. 4. It was great to catch up with my NC State 'Wolfpack Women' as well as meet some of Sarah's family and friends from Baltimore. We may not see each other often, but when we do, it's just like we're back in college. We had a great time hanging out low-key on Friday night (umm....see pic at left).

Saturday was a packed day...first, a fancy shower at Sarah's future MIL's house. The Princess theme was perfect for our Sarah. ;)Saturday night we hit the town in our stretch limo, dressed in black. Good times, again just like college. With the exception of my 6:00am flight out the next morning (No sleep for me...ouch) it was a wonderful weekend of celebration with Sarah!
And last but not least for this post....the grand event I'd been looking forward to all summer......drum roll please....
Jen and Matt's Wedding in Raleigh!
I could go and on about all of the little details and events of this weekend...but it would be a novel! The entire weekend in Raleigh was absolutely fantastic. Jen and Matt did such a great job planning, and everything unfolded just perfectly. This wedding should be in InStyle or on theknot.com!
Here's a quick recap, and a tiny portion of the thousands of pics that were taken (thanks to Kent the paparazzi!).
I arrived on the Tuesday before to help with some of the last minute preparations and running errands with the bride. The reinforcements (Kent, Adam & Jenny, Mom & Dad) arrived to help with the gift basket assembly line, and we were rewarded with a Paella & Sangria dinner.
Friday brought pedicures and a nice
bridal luncheon at 18 Seaboard. That evening, after the church rehearsal, Prime Only's upstairs balcony was the perfect setting for the rehearsal dinner.
We didn't take any pics of the ceremony or reception (too busy standing still... and then dancing, respectively). BUT check out the link to Jen and Matt's photographer's blog here for some really cool pictures and a recap of the ceremony and reception. We did take some fun limo pics....

Congrats to the happy couple! It was a wonderful weekend!
