Thames Boat Cruise - the perfect kickoff to graduation weekend!

Hi everyone! I decided to split the gradation weekend into 2 posts....yep, it was that much fun. :-) Last Friday, Kent took his last exam at Oxford! It was the last time he had to put on the suit, white bow tie and academic gown getup (called "subfusc"). The MBAs finally got to take an exam in the formal Oxford Exam Schools, with their super strict policies and regulations (one guy almost didn't get to graduate because he forgot and left his phone in his pocket!). Kent was seated at the end of a row - hence the sign in the pic here. The exam was a breeze and by 11:30, Kent was ready to celebrate!

A few weeks ago, we had the idea to finally get out on a boat on the Thames. Kent and I organised a charter to take about 75 of our closest friends on an afternoon cruise. It turned out to be just the relaxing thing they all needed - the sun was shining and it was actually warm (gasp!). A Corona on the water with friends....a great afternoon and start to the weekend's celebrations. We went on that night to a small wine party at Christ Church College and then out to meet almost the entire class at a club to an engagement party for two of our friends from Jordan (although the guy went to Texas A&M boooo).

Here are a few pics from the boat - notice big smile on Kent's face!
