Back in early May, our friends from Austin/NC went on their first European Adventure sans their cute 1-year-old baby Adrian. Anita and Jason stopped to visit us and tour around London on their way to Portugal. They came back through London on their way home, and lucky for us/unlucky for them, got to spend an extra night with us due to the volcano cancelling their flight.
The day they arrived, we took a walk up to the Portobello Market to pick up some fresh fruit and veg, of course stopping for a pint or two along the way. That night, we went to a great Polish dinner at one of my new favorite restaurants, Baltic, with a few infused vodka shots compliments of my job. PS - vodka does not help jet lag!
Kent and I played tourist and took a long walk around the city to take in the sights of Westminster, including the Churchill War Rooms, the underground headquarters of Churchill's England during WWII. Very interesting and educational. :-) Cooked a nice meal at home one night and of course hit our favorite local pub for dinner one night also!
Anyhoo, here are a few pics of their visit. Don't let the sunny skies fool you, it was still cold in May! It was great to see you, Jason and Anita!!
