11:00am: Kent and I got a text from our friend Dave inviting us to a free, fancy lunch pre-match (i.e. 12:00pm) at Twickenham Stadium. He also has free, good tickets to today's match Oxford vs. Cambridge Varsity Rugby. More simply called "The Varsity Match."
11:15am: Kent, at work, replies and says he will be there as soon as possible.
11:20am: Karen, working at home, wavers on whether to skip work and go to the game later.
1:45pm: Kent on his way to Twickenham, arrives in time for 'kick-off' at 2:00pm
1:45: Karen decides "What the heck, I won't get another chance to play hooky to watch semi-pro rugby"
Karen arrives just before half time and we enjoyed the rest of the game. An Oxford win, a crazy streaker, afternoon beers and post-match hob-nobbing with the players at the Spirit of Rugby Club. Thanks Dave for making us play hooky!
