Annual Killough Christmas Party 2010

The day after our late night at the Polish Embassy, Kent and I were on to host the annual Christmas party (and host my dad visiting!). About 11am, I was asking why we decided to schedule it like that! No matter, we pulled together and cleaned, cooked and got an assortment of alcoholic beverages ready to go. Dad arrived mid-day after a delayed flight, and was a big help in getting everything ready. It was great to have him here for the party, and he had the chance to meet all of our friends (and the jet-lag didn't catch up to him one bit!).

About 25 of our closest friends in London, mostly from Oxford, started arriving around 8pm. It was great to get so many of them together in one place - a very rare event for a super-busy, travelling crowd such as this! Around 10pm we pulled out the Christmas crackers and had a toast to a Merry Christmas and good friends we've made....and made the bittersweet announcement that we're leaving London at the end of January. Everyone booed us....except Dad of course! We had a great time catching up with friends....sad to leave them but looking forward to celebrating our annual Christmas party where ever we may be in 2011!
