USA Trip Part 3: Carolinas!

My final post about our May/June USA trip -- a visit to North and South Carolina to see my family! We flew from Austin to Raleigh and little Ben Wilgus picked us up from the airport. OK, so he was sleeping soundly in his carseat (as a 6 week old does) and Jen picked us up. We spent a few nice, relaxing days with Jen, Matt and baby Benjamin Charles (born April 24th, 2010!) at their house in Raleigh. Ben is the cutest little boy I have ever seen - I can't wait to see him again! I loved spending some downtime with Jen - a few walks around the neighborhood, a nice swim in their neighborhood pool....and basically enjoying SPACE in their house and riding in a car!

Here is Ben with a little gift from Texas - every baby needs a cowboy hat and "I Messed in Texas" onesie. He needs a few more months to grow into it!

Later in the week, we all packed in to the car to head down to Greenville, SC to meet up with the rest of the Cone family. Let me tell ya, Ben does not pack light! He was so good in the car - slept most of the way (as did Jen). :-) We arrived at Adam & Jenny's house and got to play with my favorite niece, who is getting stronger every day. Ben got to meet his cousin Amelia (who has almost 6 months on him). I think they got along well:

Mom and Dad drove up from Charleston and we had the whole family together in one place - how rare! We had a great evening at an awesome restaurant that Jenny had perfectly chosen in downtown Greenville (and even got to celebrate my 30th bday- again - with the family!). The babies did great at dinner - here's us playing with Amelia:

Because we were all together, we made the most of the opportunity and staged an [un]professional photo shoot. Jenny & Adam's backyard, plus carefully selected matching outfits and a camera with a timer.....ta da....watch out for these in the Cone family Christmas card this year. :-) So great to see the family and spend some time just hanging out. We miss you all!
